KWFT DTM CROWNED THE 2ND BEST EMPLOYER (KENYA) 2012

KWFT DTM was ranked the second best employer to work for in 2012.The announcement was made by Deloitte and Touche Company after a research survey that was the first to be conducted in the country. The survey was carried out in various institutions whose staff were interviewed through questionnaires centred around job satisfaction, work environment and career progression among many others.
Speaking to KWFT DTM staff after receiving the award, Managing Director Mr. Mwangi Githaiga thanked KWFT staff headed by Human Resource department who have worked tirelessly to ensure staff welfare.
Mr. Mwangi thanked those on the ground who were the majority of respondents for being honest and making the management to understand clearly their feelings.He urged the staff to continue working tirelessly to bring innovative financial products and services closer to the families of this nation, promising that as management they will always do all they can for the welfare of all staff.

The award came in line with the show’s theme which was; Enhancing Technology in Agriculture and Industry. KWFT has achieved this by offering innovative products and services including agriculture to its clients.

KWFT DTM RECIEVES CBK LICENSE TO BECOME A DEPOSIT TAKING MICROFINANCE, 8TH APRIL 2010

KWFT-DTM will now be able to accept deposits and use its balance sheet to provide financing to its 400,000 clients countrywide. Kenya Women Finance Trust Limited (KWFT) is now a Deposit Taking Microfinance and will operate under the name Kenya Women Finance Trust-Deposit Taking Microfinance (KWFT-DTM). This follows the issuance of a license to conduct nationwide deposit taking microfinance business by the Central Bank of Kenya. This means that in addition to giving loans to its clients, KWFT-DTM will now be able to mobilize and intermediate savings.
